The amondial.com website is designed to be a forum (discussion board) to present information about our project and to offer a platform for discussion with interested parties. We set a clear standard how discussions are supposed to happen and define this standard in these Community Rules & Guidelines.
Forum Content Rules
When commenting on a message or conversation thread it is good netiquette to include a relevant quote from the original message to give context to your comment.
Check - then Click
Before you post a comment, double check that you are saying exactly what you want to say. One small error can completely change the meaning of your message, so read and read again before sending.
We are only Human
Remember that an actual person with real feelings, beliefs, imperfections and emotions is behind every message, email or comment. It’s sometimes easy to get carried away and write something that you would not dream of saying to someone’s face and can be mistaken for displaying bad netiquette or cyberbullying behavior.
Do you get it ?
Jokes, dark humor and sarcasm are often difficult to convey over the Internet. So to avoid potential misunderstandings, always indicate the humorous nature of your comment. You could do this by using emoticons, putting “lol” (laugh out loud) at the end of the message or by starting with a phrase like, “On a lighter note…”
We were all once new to social media, gaming online, emails, messaging and community forums - so always try and help someone new who is making mistakes.
Do not Spam
It is normal to want to be noticed in the crowd of people on social media - but spamming (another word for sending the same or similar messages lots of times) can be annoying and may have the opposite effect !
If you want to get the most out of communicating online, be yourself. Making up false profiles and alter egos will only discourage people from talking openly with you and taking you seriously. Remember that most trolls and cyberbullies use false profiles, so be careful not to be mistaken for one.
Don’t be afraid to express yourself openly and honestly. Netiquette is not about restricting expression but about making it easier for people to understand.
Allow others to express themselves too
Remember that everybody has an opinion, so allow them to express it. You may have to agree to disagree on many issues, but just make your point and move on. Don’t let a simple difference of opinion escalate into an argument.
Do not SHOUT
Avoid writing whole words or sentences in capital letters. This is the equivalent of someone SCREAMING IN YOUR EAR !!!
Respect People’s Privacy
Do not pass on another person’s private information or photos unless you have their permission. Not only is this bad netiquette but you may also be accused of cyberbullying, doxing or online harassment.
Trading insults and abuse is bad netiquette. It is pointless and negative and could get you banned from the community. Avoid being drawn into fights and never post abusive content on social media as this will result in your accounts being suspended.
We encourage everyone to participate and are committed to building a community for all. Although we may not be able to satisfy everyone, we all agree that everyone is equal. Whenever a participant has made a mistake, we expect them to take responsibility for it. If someone has been harmed or offended, it is our responsibility to listen carefully and respectfully, and do our best to right the wrong.
Although this list cannot be exhaustive, we explicitly honor diversity in age, gender, gender identity or expression, culture, ethnicity, language, national origin, political beliefs, profession, race, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, and technical ability. We will not tolerate discrimination based on any of the protected characteristics above, including participants with disabilities.
Deletion of Threads
Admins and Community Moderators reserve all rights to remove, modify or move posts at our sole discretion and without explanation.
Members are not allowed to operate multiple accounts. Your accounts will be removed.
Ads & Solicitation
No advertisement or solicitation of any kind is allowed in our community forums. Any threads or posting which are deemed to be unauthorised solicitation or advertising of services will be deleted promptly.
Avatars (User icons)
Users should make sure that their avatars are not offensive, abusive, racist or sexist in nature. We aim to have wide community of users so please be understanding towards others when selecting an avatar.
For new users, please note that the following types of username will not be allowed:
- Racist names
- Religious or religion orientated names
- Names that contain profanity, or variations of profanity
- Names designed to imitate the name of another member
- Names designed to imitate the name of prominent company or product (eg. Apple)
- Names that imitate or ridicule prominent public figure
Note: Verified business clients can carry their business name in their nickname with an additional username, for example ‘Google - John A.’.
If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior - or have any other concerns, please report it by contacting us. All reports will be handled with discretion. In your report please include:
Your contact information
Names (real, nicknames, or pseudonyms) of any individuals involved. If there are additional witnesses, please include them as well. Your account of what occurred, and if you believe the incident is ongoing.
If there is a publicly available record (e.g. a community post, social media post etc.), please include a link or screenshot.
Any additional information that may be helpful.
After filing a report, a representative of our support team will contact you personally. If the person who is harassing you is part of our support team or a community moderator, they will recuse themselves from handling your incident. A different representative or manager will then review the incident, follow up with any additional questions, and make a decision as to how to respond and act. We will respect confidentiality requests for the purpose of protecting victims of abuse.
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If an individual engages in unacceptable behavior, the representative may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a permanent ban from our community and termination of your investment account.
